Lunch Bunch is a group of senior adults that meets monthly for a luncheon of good food and fellowship! All senior adults are welcome to join.
This January, the group will be visiting Gong Ho Restaurant, 1338 75th Street, Downers Grove.

Deacon Wes invites Jr. High or Sr. High youth to come and play basketball or hang out in the Open Door Youth Center any time from 10am to 2pm on Friday, Jan. 4. These are drop-in hours so you are welcome to come and go as you want. We'll have sandwich fixins and snacks on hand.

All Youth are invited to help us create a host of luminaries for the Christmas Eve service. No experience necessary, it's easy and we will show you how to create them.
Also, we'll be watching Veggie Tales while we work!
This holiday season, the Children and Family Work Area would like to invite you to take a moment from the hustle and bustle of Christmas to serve in a ministry of giving to others in need at Feed My Starving Children in Aurora. This Christian organization runs high-energy sessions where we pack food for the neediest children around the world.

Thursday, December 20, meet at the church at 4:30 p.m. and we'll be back around 9:30 p.m. Bring a snack! Help us with serving a meal and the love of Christ with the neighborhood folks of the United Church of Rogers Park.

The cooking team of Don Safford, Bill Chalberg, and Susan Newman will be back for a Home Cookin' meal. All are invited to join us for this special family meal between 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. This meal is always awesome and the fellowship is fantastic!
Cost is only $6 a meal...the great fellowship is free! Please register by emailing John Smoke at [email protected]. You may pay that day.
Finding yourself feeling blue this Christmas season? For many, especially those who have lost a loved one, or are in other times of struggle, the Christmas season is difficult. This special Blue Christmas service will include time for reflection, remembering those we hold in our hearts, and hearing the promise of comfort, hope, and peace that Christmas proclaims.
