This February, United Methodists from all over the world will gather in St. Louis, MO to vote on a structure and plan for the UMC moving forward in regards to the inclusion of the LGBTQ community. Want to learn more about what this means?

Pastor Anna will lead a four-week study beginning January 27 covering the UMC history of legislation and attitudes towards the LGBT community; the plans that will be presented at General Conference; and what our Book of Discipline says. Join us for one week or all four at 12:30 pm in Room 213!

Are you looking for a new way to get involved at church?

S.O.S. - Share Our Skills meets on the THIRD Saturday of each month to tackle fix-it projects around the church. The group meets at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and then works from 9:00 to Noon.

Only have an hour that day? No problem, just stop in and stay as long as you can. Many hands make light work.

Billed as a romantic dark fantasy/sci-fi drama, the Academy Award winner, The Shape of Water, is the February movie.

Lunch Bunch is a group of senior adults that meets monthly for a luncheon of good food and fellowship! All senior adults are welcome to join.

This February, the group will be visiting Downers Delight Restaurant, 401 75th Street, Downers Grove.

The Wednesday Women's Bible Study will be reading Short Stories by Jesus:  The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi by Amy Jill-Levine this winter.

The loss of a loved one leaves us with not only a hole in our  heart but in our lives also. Join us as we share our stories of our loved ones and discuss how their loss is affecting our lives as we learn to navigate our new reality.

The group will be led by Carol Lysne, Ph.D., beginning Sunday, February 10 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 202.

The UMW is hosting their annual fundraiser Bake Sale on Sunday, February 10. Stop in the Parlor to purchase some tasty baked goods provided by our many Circle members. Proceeds will go toward mission projects supported by UMW. Your support is greatly appreciated. Baked goods will be provided in smaller packages, so you can "grab & go" to choose as many items as you would like to share with your family and friends.

Looking for some great fellowship with members of the  church? The Mingling Methodists group is meeting on Saturday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Mark and Lenore Pitstick. Bring a beverage and a snack to share.
