S.O.S. - Share Our Skills meets on the THIRD Saturday of each month to tackle fix-it projects around the church. The group meets at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and then works from 9:00 to Noon.
Only have an hour that day? No problem, just stop in and stay as long as you can. Many hands make light work.

Our pastoral team will be leading classes for the next five weeks (March 11 - April 8) to explore our future as a congregation and as a congregation within the United Methodist Church. Join us as we recap what happened at General Conference, potential options for the future, and how we move forward on a global, national, and community-wide level.
Come and hear about the work we collectively achieve through DuPage United, an organization that connects many faith-based communities (churches, synagogues, and mosques), at their Spring Assembly on March 10 at 3:00 p.m. In the past, these assemblies have been highly effective in obtaining commitments from our elected representatives to meaningful action. For example, the assembly in November, 2015 received a commitment from State’s Attorney Robert Berlin and a representative from then Sheriff Zaruba’s office to advance Crisis Intervention Training in DuPage County. The county CIT program started in October 2016 and has since trained over 700 officers. The more members that attend this assembly, the greater our influence will be in achieving future goals.

The Wednesday Women's Bible Study will be reading Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi by Amy Jill-Levine this winter.
The Caring Callers will gather in Chapel Hall for a time to connect and renew spirits after several months of caring for our church family, while experiencing the loss of so many of our church family and friends. With renewed spirits, we will plan the ways we will continue to reach out.
The cooking team of Don Safford, Bill Chalberg, Susan Newman, and Ken Drogemuller will be back for a Home Cookin' meal. This time we'll enjoy a Mexican dinner night with tacos and quesadillas with guacamole, beans, rice, and chips along with our usual macaroni and cheese, salad, and a wonderful dessert.

Many of us take light for granted, but nearly one billion people around the world live without it every day. Come hear how Watts of Love, and DGFUMC members Doug Roselieb and Maggie Roth, are bringing light to those that need it most. Doug traveled to Nepal in October to deliver solar lights to leper colonies and those living in ultra poverty. Maggie is going to Guatemala in March.
