Work Area Celebration and Training
Back by popular demand – we have scheduled a Work Area Celebration and Training event for January 24. This year, the focus will expand beyond leadership training to include all members of Ad Council and Work Areas. Roger Curless will again lead us, including worship time celebrating all that is done through the efforts of our work areas and a training session with tips and suggestions for how we can be most effective within our work areas. There will also be time will be included for each Work Area to break out into their group within the meeting.
Tail Gate Party
Come and join us in the Open Door this Sunday as we watch the game of the season, the Chicago Bears taking on the Green Bay Packers in Soldier Field for the NFC Championship. Bears and Packers fans all welcome!
Please bring along a snack to share. Soda will be provided.
Then we should have another reason to have a party here in the Open Door on February 6th!

Mision Fronteras (Border Mission) is the name of a mission being undertaken by DGFUMC members, Debbie Rissing and Jeff Wasilevich, in the Lake Titicaca region on the border of Peru and Bolivia.

Friday Night at the Movies: Shadowlands
The Reverend Ermalou Roller will present Shadowlands, an Oscar-nominated 1993 biographical film about the love between the British writer C.S. Lewis and his American-born wife, the poet Joy Gresham. Movie critics have hailed the award-winning performances of Anthony Hopkins as Lewis and Debra Winger as Gresham.
Thursday Bible Study
Pastor Greta McDonald leads this introductory course to the Bible. The group meets in Room 202 from 6:30 to 7:30pm each Thursday. All are welcome to come at any time.
In January and February, they will be looking at the life of David.
Chapel Choir Tour Parent Meetings
There will be two meetings about the 40th Annual Chapel Choir Tour to Toronto. This will be an exciting tour, as they all are, because for the first time in about 15 years we will be leaving the country. This means that there are several things that even seasoned pros (parents who have sent older kids on tour) need to know.
Please plan to come to one of the meetings.
Walking Through the Bible

Pastor Greta McDonald leads this introductory course to the Bible, in which she covers a few key passages each week. The group meets in Room 202 from 6:30 to 7:30pm each Wednesday. All are welcome to come at any time.
In January and February, they will be looking at the last half of the Old Testament from Judges to Malachi.
