An introduction to Lakota Worship and Spiritual Practices by Frank Wanderich and Tom Voitas.

Written in 1888, the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré is the most popular European cantata from this period. He wrote it “simply for the pleasure of it.” Fauré, encouraged by his teacher Saint-Saens to write in his own style, created lyrical melodies which are simple and compelling. He was organist at the prestigious Madeleine Church in Paris and served as a teacher of composition and director of the Paris Conservatory.

Pastor Jim McDonald will lead discussions based on a set of DVDs, hosted by Francis Collins, the Director of the National Institutes of Health.

This week, the second part of  What Does It Mean to Be Human?, by Warren Brown of Fuller Theological Seminary.

The Wednesday evening study will be taking a look at Jesus’ life, teachings, miracles, death and resurrection, and what it means to follow him today.

The Lenten focus will begin March 16, and continue on March 23, 30, April 6 and 13, from 6:30-7:30 each evening. Even if you haven’t taken part in the evening Bible studies so far, you’re invited to try them out just during Lent!

Pastor Greta McDonald will lead the studies.

This 6 week class, taught by Jim McDonald, is designed to help you make the journey together.
