Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg HungThe Children and Family Work Area would like to invite all families in our church and community to attend a special Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 7. All children from infant through 6th grade are welcome to hunt for the hidden eggs inside the church.

Maundy Thursday Come-and-Go Communion

Maundy Thursday

This is an opportunity to partake in a re-creation of the Last Supper as you gather at the table in small groups to share the body and blood of Jesus. There will also be time for hand and/or foot washing, plus meditation in "The Garden".

The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

How long you spend is up to you. The atmosphere is one of quiet reflection.

All are welcome.

April 1st, 2012 - Facing Alcoholism: The Way of A.A.: Mary Carrigan

A.A. has helped people overcome addictions since 1935 when one addict shared the "good news" with another addict. A.A. is a spiritual program that transforms lives when worked.

Women's Lenten Bible Study

All women are invited to take part in a Lenten Bible study on Thursdays at 10:00 AM. The study will reflect on the events during the last 24 hours of Jesus' life, and how they impact our lives and faith today. (A 10 minute video, Bible reading, and discussion will be included each week, and the sessions will end by 11:00.)

Pastor Greta and Karen Stahlecker will lead the study.

March 4th, 2012 - The Refugees in Our Midst: Anne Wentz

“Working with refugees is one of the most fulfilling ways I know of expressing the love of the Gospel,” according to Anne Wentz.  Refugees are people who have fled their home country because of religious, political or ethnic persecution.  Most of them fled for their lives.

Patrick's Path: A Lenten Meditation

We will explore and experience Celtic spirituality through the personality of its greatest advocate: St. Patrick. We will see what Celtic spirituality has in common with other perspectives and examine its unique emphases.

There will be opportunity for personal reflection, group sharing, and participating in exercises designed to help us not only understand Celtic spirituality but experience it. Participants will gain additional insight and renewed energy for their own spiritual journeys.
