We continue with our look at genres with a classic Western, Rio Bravo, which debuted in 1959. The film is a beloved John Wayne western and features many well-known Hollywood stars of the era, including Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Ward Bond, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan….you get the “picture.”!
Please join the 20’s and 30’s fellowship group for an evening of bowling at Suburbanite Bowl on Ogden Ave in Westmont. Cost will be $10-$15 per person depending on the number of people. Feel free to invite friends!

If you are interested in joining FUMC, New Members Classes are offered approximately once a quarter. You are invited to attend one of the two classes. New members will be received into membership on Sunday, April 29 at the 9:30AM service. Thanks to everyone who came out in March, we were able to accomplish a lot!
On April 14 we have the following projects that need to be completed.
- The dumpster gate needs repaired
- Pot holes in the parking lot need to be filled
- The rope for the bell needs replacing
- Office painting will continue
The Young at Heart group of senior adults will be traveling to Aurora to visit with Dr. Jonathan Dean who will take us on a tour of the Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action at the Aurora University. Jonathan is an Assistant Professor/Religion Fellow to the Wackerlin Center. We will leave from the church parking lot at 11:30 a.m. and have lunch at Colonial Cafe in Aurora with Jonathan and then take the tour after lunch.
