Submitted by Nick Nicholas on

Mwangaza Children's ChoirWe have a wonderful opportunity to be in ministry with and for a children’s choir from Africa. They are touring the USA and will be in Illinois for the month of May. We have the great fortune of being their host for a concert on May 25. They are in need of overnight housing from May 23 to the morning of May 26. 6 homes are needed to host the choir.

Thank You, Jewel Shoppers

Thank you for making the effort to bring your stickers to the church office so that UMW/Sarah circle could buy pots and pans. You may have only had a few to share, but all of them combined, a little over 920, bought a lot of pots and pans. We were able to buy for eleven cents- 5 stock pots and 6 frying pans. The Peoples Resource Center will be delighted to receive our donation.

Thanks again, on behalf of UMW/Sarah circle.

URGENT HELP NEEDED

I am in need of a few people willing to come and stay overnight to help out with PADS tonight and tomorrow AM.

We will be sleeping in the Open Door (Youth Center) and the Parlor. This will ensure that we have adequate staff to service the needs of PADS clients over the next 24 hrs. The DG Police Department is asking that the shelter remain open until 12PM tomorrow.

We are also in need of anyone that can come around 9AM and help with the shoveling of walks and free cars from the plow piles.

Following is a list of suggested items to bring along:

Can you help??

A low-income family of 5 has had their car stolen. They didn’t have full-coverage insurance and can’t afford another vehicle. The dad works 3 jobs, so transportation is a necessity! If you or anyone you know has a safe, running car to donate, please contact the church office.

Questions? Contact Julie Stone.
