S.O.S. - Share Our Skills
Are you looking for a new way to get involved at church?
S.O.S. - Share Our Skills will now be meeting on the THIRD Saturday of each month to tackle fix-it projects around the church. The group meets at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and then works from 9:00 to Noon.
Only have an hour that day? No problem, just stop in and stay as long as you can. Many hands make light work.
This month, John Smoke will present, Sully, a 2016 biographical drama directed by Clint Eastwood. The film tells the story of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger's January 2009 emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River, in which all 155 passengers and crew survived with only minor injuries, and the subsequent publicity and investigation, which threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.
This New Year, we continue with our study of Robin Lovin's An Introduction to Christian Ethics: Goals, Duties, and Virtues. Topics include: The Origin of Ethics; Goods, Goals, and God; and Virtue and Responsibility among others.
Please note - This class will not meet on Sundays March 5 & 12. Class will resume on Sunday, March 19.
The next 40's & 50's group gathering will be at the home of Jim and Kerri Crandell starting at 7:00 p.m. Please bring a beverage and appetizer to share. If you know anyone who is interested in joining our church, please invite them to come!
Financial Peace University is a program where Dave Ramsey and his teaching team, via DVD, walk you through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for the future and much more. This class will be a great way to share ideas, be encouraged, and stay motivated to find financial peace.
