Come welcome home the Chapel Choir from the 2018 Choir Tour, Live to Love. The choir spent this Spring Break traveling to Savanna, GA, sharing a message of peace through music and scripture. You are invited to share in this message at this home concert.
You are invited to attend a baby shower on Sunday, April 8. Drop in between 9 am to noon to make a braided pacifier clip. We invite you to share lunch at 12:15 p.m. when we hear from a representative of the Cunningham Children’s Home, one of the UMW’s missions this year.
Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support First United Methodist Preschool. Come in to the Chipotle at 1203 W. Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove on Tuesday, April 3rd between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Download and print the flyer below, or show it on your smartphone, or tell the cashier you're supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to First United Methodist Preschool.
Grab your Easter basket and hop on over to hunt for eggs at DGFUMC! There will be 500 eggs hidden in the church! All children are invited. Bring the entire family and a friend or two and enjoy refreshments and fellowship.
The fun begins in the sanctuary at 9:00 sharp so don’t be late! See you at the hunt!

DuPage United, an organization that connects many faith-based communities (churches, synagogues, and mosques) and other non-profit agencies to produce action on issues that urgently need addressing in the public arena. DGFUMC has been one of those faith communities for many years, coordinated through the Mission, Justice and Community Work Area.
On March 11, DuPage United is helping to organize a forum, to which all the candidates for Attorney General in this year's Illinois elections have been invited, providing us with an opportunity to find out where they stand on a number of topics, such as:
This is the first election in 15 years that is truly open, so this is an excellent opportunity to ensure that whoever wins is aware of our concerns and to persuade them to act in ways that honor our commitment to social justice and protect the most vulnerable in our community.
The forum will be in Maine East High School in Park Ridge (map). If you are interested in attending this forum, please register so that we can keep you updated on the event and organize transport if you need it.
