The First United Methodist Preschool ann ounces the retirement of two teachers. Karen Dortwegt is retiring after 23 years and Beth Schloss is retiring after 15 years of service. They have touched so many young lives!

A World Hymn CelebrationThe Chancel and Westminster Ringers present their annual spring concert, "When in our Ringing God is Glorified" - A Handbell Hymn Celebration.
We will lift our voices, singing hymns from many nations! The concert will feature handbells, pipe organ, instruments, and your singing!

The Downers Grove First United Methodist Church has adopted a section of St. Joseph Creek located north of Curtiss Street and east of Walnut Avenue about two miles west of our church property. On Saturday, May 19, we’ll gather to clean up the creek by picking up trash along the banks. Please mark your calendar to come and volunteer!
This May Friday Night at the Movies will present Mudbound, a 2017 period drama. Presented by our local film expert, Sue Thornquist, this movie is the story of two families, one black and one white, living uneasilty in the Mississippi Delta farmland during the WWII era.
