The Adult Education Work Area invites you to a viewing and discussion of The Hate U Give, a 2018 film based on the novel of the same name by Angie Thomas. This is the book that was featured in our All Church Read this past spring.
The Hate U Give is about a teen who witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood friend by a trigger-happy cop and then must decide whether to testify or not.

This annual event signals the start of another exciting year for Chapel Choir, highlighted by the 2020 Tour to New York City. Weekly rehearsals begin Wednesday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Youth and parents of 7th and 8th graders are invited to a Confirmation Registration and Info Meeting on either Wednesday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. or Sunday, August 25 at 4:00 p.m. We will provide information about the coming year and register for Confirmation class at this time. You need only attend one of these two meetings.
The meetings will provide an overview of the schedule, an introduction to the curriclum, provide a list of required commitments, and more. Please bring a completed Permission and Emergency Information Form with you to a meeting.
This summer, we're offering a monthly All-Church Community Hour after the 10:00 a.m. service to provide new ways for our congregation members to gather in community.
This Sunday, we will make Blessing Bags for the homeless and learn about how our church provides shelter for homeless individuals in our community by hosting PADS once a week. You will be able to sign up to volunteer too!

The Caring Connection Callers Ministry keep our church family connected by phone, email, visits, and flower delivery. They are hosting an appreciation lunch and a brief training/info session on August 18 at 11:15 a.m. in Chapel Hall. Callers usually meet for a brief devotional and send off every 4 - 6 weeks to make "connections" - visits with our homebound church family.
A Wash and Worship youth car wash will take place Sunday morning, July 7 and Sunday, August 18 beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Have your car washed while you attend worship services!
All donations received benefit youth ministries.
Are you looking for a new way to get involved at church?
S.O.S. - Share Our Skills meets on the THIRD Saturday of each month to tackle fix-it projects around the church. The group meets at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and then works from 9:00 to Noon.
Only have an hour that day? No problem, just stop in and stay as long as you can. Many hands make light work.

Lunch Bunch is a group of senior adults that meets monthly for a luncheon of good food and fellowship! All senior adults are welcome to join.
This August, the group will be visiting Ki's Steak & Seafood Restaurant, 705 North Ave., Glendale Heights.
