This December the Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study will focus on an Advent and Christmas theme, using the book Behold, by Pamela Hawkins. This study helps us ponder the meaning of Christ’s coming into our world through scripture and prayer, with a central word for each of the four weeks in Advent – Expectancy, Preparation, Faith and Promise. All women are invited to this study. Books will be available for purchase at the meetings.
This month, the group will discuss Good Chinese Wife by Susan Blumber-Kason, a stunning memoir of an intercultural marriage gone wrong. Blumber-Kason recounts her struggle to be the perfect traditional "Chinese" wife to her increasingly controlling and abusive husband.
