What are you giving up for Lent? Have you ever considered giving up something that's BAD for you? The Women's Bible Study will tackle a new Lenten study that encourages us to give up something negative (think envy or bitterness or a bad habit) and transfer that energy to something life-giving.
You are invited to share in a Sunday evening Lenten study from 5:00-6:00 p.m. beginning February 21 and lasting through March 20. The study will use the resource The God We Can Know by United Methodist pastor Rob Fuquay to examine on the "I Am" sayings of Jesus in the Gospel of John. Each session will include brief scripture, a DVD glimpse into the Holy Land settings for Jesus' teaching, discussion, and a suggested spiritual practice.
Ignite Small Groups (Spark Groups) are our Small Groups on Sundays that meet twice a month.

Make-up Sessions will meet in the Open Door Youth Center to cover the previous 2 Wednesday night Onward Bound lessons, with 10am covering the lesson from the Wednesday, a week and a half prior and the 11am Session covering the lesson from the previous Wednesday evening.
Onward Bound is our Confirmation Preparatory Program for 7th & 8th Grade students.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, a 2012 release, will be presented by Andrew and Cindy Johnson. This popular and highly-acclaimed comedy-drama follows a group of retired Brits in search of a nice but not-too-costly rtirement site, which leads them to the lovely aforementioned hotel, located in India. At least the place looks lovely in the pictures! What our adventurers find is “a little” different, which makes for a great story.
