We are looking forward to welcoming our new Bishop, Sally Dyck, and leaders from throughout the Aurora District for the District Training Day, to be held at our church, on Saturday, February 16, from 9:30am-12:45pm.
Wednesday, February 13, at 7:00 pm, we join together for an Ash Wednesday service. Youth minister, Katie Kiss will bring the message, and the Connection Choir will sing.
The service includes time for personal prayer and reflection, and the Imposition of Ashes, an ancient ritual of having our forehead touched with palm ashes to remind us of our human nature and our need for Christ.
Join us for this special service, which marks the beginning of Lent.

Ever think about taking a mission trip somewhere? Giving your time and energy to others in a new way?
The Missions Work Area is offering a $1,000 scholarship to an adult member of our church who wants to embark on a Christian mission trip in the coming year. Guidelines are specified on the application form found below.
Applications are due to Jean Krusinski by March 15, 2013.
The congregation will soon have an opportunity to honor a loved one through our Sanctuary Window Memorial Project. This memorial project, funded entirely by private donations, offers a unique opportunity to honor and remember a loved one for generations to come.
Help the Chapel Choir get to New Orleans this Spring Break by sponsoring a bus seat for $25. You can direct your sponsorship to a particular student or have it applied to the tour fund.

Join us for six weeks of discussion and reflection as we learn about the last 24 hours of the life of Jesus. The goal is to help you better understand the events, see more clearly the theological significance of Christ's suffering and death, and reflect upon the meaning of these events in your life.

Below you will find all of the informational handouts and forms for the 2013 Chapel Choir Tour to New Orleans, LA.
The Annual Spring Tea will be held on Saturday, April 6th from 2 to 4 pm in the church gym.
We will enjoy tea and refreshments (including tea sandwiches and chocolate fountains!) as we celebrate quilts. Chris Hudson will talk about how she creates beautiful quilts. We will have quilts on display from many of the talented quilters in our congregation. If you have a quilt you would like to share with us, bring it along and tell your story. Attendees will decorate fabric squares which will be made into a commemorative quilt, and we will have special activities for children.
The last chance to register for next year's 2013/2014 Preschool is on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 3 to 4 p.m.
A $100.00 non-refundable registration fee and completed application is required to secure a space. A certified copy of the birth certificate is now required by DCFS.
