This spring, DGFUMC will return to Tutwiler, Mississippi to serve with Habitat for Humanity! Join us on a mission trip March 28 - April 4 as we build a home alongside the community. This trip is multi-generational and all those who are 10 years old and older are welcome to come.
Get ahead of the shopping rush by stopping in the parlor after all services on Sundays, Dec. 8, 15, and 22 to see the beautiful handmade crafts from the women of UPAVIM who live on the outskirts of Guatemala City. There will be Christmas ornaments, jewelry, kitchen accessories, and much more.

Gather your friends and family to come enjoy the Chancel Choir Christmas Cantata presenting the popular John Rutter Gloria with exciting brass ensemble and organ.
Familiar Rutter Carols with the Choir, Children's Choirs and chamber orchestra will complete the program and spark your Christmas season!
The 55 voice Chancel Choir is conducted by Diane Hires and accompanied by Pattie Barnes, organist.
This year, purchase your pumpkins from the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch from October 13 to October 31. In addition to many pumpkins of all sizes to choose from, we'll have apple cider, a photo booth, and good fellowship to share!
The "Green Team" will host a recycling event for foam #6 products on Sunday, September 22. Bring your recycling to the Parlor before or after worship services on this date and our wonderful Green Team members will take it to the recycling facility for you! It couldn't be easier.
On Wednesday evenings, there are programs for the whole family! Children, from pre-Kindergarteners to 8th grade, are invited to join one of the children's choirs that meet from 4:30 p.m. onwards. During this time, there will be Family Dinners served in the Gym from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m.
We are delighted to announce that the world famous African Children’s Choir will be performing at DGFUMC on Wednesday 
September 25 at 7:00 p.m.. This family friendly, immersive experience will leave you inspired as the Choir performs your favorite hymns with African cultural sounds in their new program.
Join us for Children's Sabbath!Celebrate children and youth all over the world at our worship services this Sunday! A wonderful service is planned with music provided by children and youth from our congregation, a blessing of backpacks, non-perishable food item collection, and a special message at our 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. worship services.
