Downer's Grove First United Methodist Church - March 17 Update
The church building will remain closed until May 9. All employees will be working from home, as needed. We will assess the situation as time goes on and keep you updated.
All church activities and events through May 9 are cancelled, including Friday Night at the Movies.
Worship services will be offered online on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. through our Facebook page.
DGFUMC Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response
We understand you may have concerns about how the Coronavirus (COVID-19) may impact our church community. The church community's health and welfare is of great importance to us. Given that the situation is evolving rapidly, sometimes hourly, we are taking measures to prepare and protect you as information becomes available.
At this time, we are following the school districts in the area and effective immediately, we are:

Messy Church
Messy Church is a new kind of service on the second Sunday of the month for parents and children to share. There will be a time to make crafts as a family, a short (and lively) time of gathering, and a family friendly lunch. This time will be about building community along with thinking about that greater power that is creator and love of all.
