Together @ 10/Choir Dedication Sunday/Pancake Breakfast
Join us this Sunday, October 29, for a special service where the 9:30 and 11:00 services will be combined into ONE service at 10:00 a.m. This is a great time to make new friends, re-connect with old friends and bring guests to visit our church. This Sunday is also our Choir Dedication Sunday. Each choir (bells, too!) will be presenting special music for the congregation.
Worship Service
This service of hymns, prayers, scripture readings and a sermon is held in the Sanctuary, with special music usually performed by the Chancel Choir. The service may also include music from one of our handbell choirs. Children may go with Pastor John Smoke to Sunday school following the children's sermon or may return to worship with their family.
Worship Service
This service of hymns, prayers, scripture readings and a sermon is held in the Sanctuary, with music of a more contemporary flavor usually performed by the high school Chapel Choir. The service may also include music from the Worship Band or one of our handbell choirs. All children from Kindergarten through 6th grade start in the sanctuary for worship and follow Pastor Smoke to Sunday School after the Moment for Children.
Service of Holy Communion
This service, which is in the intimate setting of the Heartt Memorial Chapel, consists of hymns, prayers, scripture readings and a sermon. There is no Sunday School during this service.
Community Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service
"Remembering the Goodness of God"
You are invited to share in an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service Tuesday, November 21. The service will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Please bring a new or gently used coat and/or canned goods for the FISH Food Pantry and a pie to share at the social following the worship service.
