With the United Methodist Church set to hold its quadrennial General Conference in May, the Council of Bishops has called for a time of prayer in the months leading up to the meeting. The prayer vigil is a meaningful way to focus spiritually on the experience, as well as to surround the delegates and church leaders with prayer for a General Conference that inspires us in our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.
You are invited to join laity and clergy from throughout the Northern Illinois Conference in lifting prayers on February 29 for the General Conference.
